Title: Post Production

Location: Cirencester College

Overview: Taught by a professional editor with an excellent track record in training, this course will enable you to develop skills across the whole of the Final Cut Pro Suite. This involves audio work using Sound Track Pro, graphics in Motion and titling in Live Type, as well as Video editing.

Between February and April 2009, exact dates TBC.

Using a combination of hands-on activities, you will have a chance to focus on specific areas or develop skills across the range.

If you have some editing experience and want access to techniques and models of professional practice, this course is ideal for you.

Using both narrative and documentary footage, you will take an in-depth look at timeline techniques and file management, as well as the ‘language’ of editing and the relationship between sound, image and graphics.

To qualify for FREE funding for these courses you need to be:
• A minimum of 19 years old
• Live or work in Gloucestershire
• Be either employed by a small business (between 1-249 employees)
• Or run your own business (this can include freelancers if you have a business bank account or are self-employed for tax purposes)
• Be working in the creative/media industry, or have some knowledge of the creative/media industry and wish to pursue a career in this field
The course is free, however, as we only receive our funding once individuals have completed the course, we do ask for a deposit of £100, which is refunded in full on completion.

Title: 2D Animation

Overview: This course will provide you with an understanding of how to embed flash animation into a variety of different interactive media.

Between February and April 2009, exact dates TBC.

Using Adobe Photoshop and In Design software packages, you will produce 2D animations, which will develop and underpin you current knowledge.

All learners are welcome but and an understanding of the software and some animation techniques would be an advantage.
