We are a collaboration between Watershed, the University of the West of England's Digital Cultures Research Centre and HP Labs with support from the South West Regional Development Agency.

The Pervasive Media Studio is part of Watershed, built on the legacy of Mobile Bristol. We have a formal partnership with UWE’s Digital Cultures Research Centre and support from HP Labs and the South West Regional Development Agency.

We are a multi-disciplinary lab exploring and producing pervasive media content, applications and services. We work within a brilliant community of artists, creative companies, technologists and academics.

Our projects include gaming, projections, location-based media, digital displays and new forms of performance. Some are commercial, some are cultural. We test our projects as early as possible and iterate.

We have a great workspace, an open ethos and a can-do attitude. See some of the highlights of our first two years here.

The Studio was opened by Alistair Darling the Chancellor of the Exchequer in February 2008 and offers research, project development space, a wide variety of
workshops, seminars and public events and a creative learning programme
for education and community groups.
