Try Something New Night. The afternoon of debate, discussion and provocation melts into an otherworldly evening with the chance to see work in the early stages of development- Sleepdogs takes us to the far reaches of space and asks what life means to us in Astronaut, Davy & Kristin McGuire’s Icebook transports us into a tiny theatre of paper and light and a story about what is just beyond our reach, Dan Canham evokes memories and places that are left behind in 30 Cecil Street, and Cross Collaborations’ installation offers a moment to reflect on your own future through Post Present Future.
NB: Some shows for the Try Something New Night have limited audiences so slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis on the day.
About Open Spaces:
Although Open Space may be new to you, it has been used all over the world to deal with a range of issues with positive results. It is an interactive and inclusive way of structuring a meeting that allows you, the participant, to set the agenda. You will not be talked at or asked to talk about things you don’t want to. And by the end of the event the following will have occurred:
• Every issue of concern to anyone will have been raised, if they took responsibility for doing that.
• All issues will have been discussed fully.
• A full record of issues and discussions will be published online in a format where people can carry on the discussion even after the event.
• And YOU will have taken part in making it happen.
