The Theatre
A moving documentary about The Havana Boxing Academy in Cuba which trains young boys to become Olympic champions. SONS OF CUBA follows 3 young hopefuls and their coach as they prepare for the National under 12s championship. However during training the country is plunged into crisis as Fidel Castro is taken ill.
SONS OF CUBA has won multiple awards including “Best Documentary” at the International Rome Film Festival and the Youth Jury Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest. It was also nominated for a BIFA (British Independent Film Award).
