During World War II the Basterds, a group of Jewish-American soldiers led by half-Apache Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt), are sent to occupied France on a mission to spread fear throughout the Third Reich. Pursued by a Jew-hunting Gestapo officer the Basterds make their way to Paris leaving a trail of scalped Nazis. They plan to destroy a cinema full of top brass but the young Jewish cinema proprietress has a scheme of her own, as does the British army. As their plots collide bullets and blood are never far from the screen.
