Rickerbys and Business Link are holding a series of workshops aimed at raising business knowledge within the county. The workshops bring together members of the county’s business community for a series of innovative tutorials and discussions in key areas from setting up a business to succession planning.

Workshop 1: From Small Acorns…
19 November 2009, Rickerbys offices, Cheltenham, 8.45am-12.30pm. We will look at the building blocks for setting up a business including;
• the different trading vehicles available use from sole trader to companies and the pros and cons for each
• the importance of business plans and how to prepare one
• the stresses and realities of working for yourself
• raising finance and dealing with professional advisors
• intellectual property and brand protection
• dealing with customers and your terms and conditions
• how to protect your business from financial and other risk

Who should attend?
Owner managers, directors and those who are considering venturing out on their own and setting up a new business.
