David is known for his producing work with colleague, fellow producer Elizabeth Morgan Hemlock at Stroud based company Arturi Films, and their most recent feature film Mugabe and The White African is still available on DVD. The film was BAFTA Nominated and won Awards from BIFA, PRIX ITALIA, GRIERSON, ROYAL TELEVISION SOCIETY West Of England Awards , & CAMERA JUSTITIA and an Oscar short listing- to name just a few!

David and Elizabeth’s company have a slate of cinema fiction films in development and they have just begun work on Arturi’s next project to go into production, a cinema follow up to Mugabe and The White African. Bouncing Back, is a powerful tale of what happens when you lose everything but the will to succeed, which David is directing and Elizabeth is producing. Said Elizabeth, “It is an ambitious film which will be shot around the world, and show how strong willed characters can quickly recover from incredible setbacks, following natural disasters, and will be inspirational to all. We have had a lot of market interest in it from distributors and have just got some start up funds from Film Agency Wales. We are now seeking other finance that we need to make the film. Having worked with local private investors on Mugabe and The White African, we hope we will find others for this exciting project.”

David said, “Bouncing Back is a film for our times. It’s amazing what some people can achieve in the most difficult circumstances, which make dealing with our recession look like a breeze. We like making strong stories that offer hope, big emotions and have a “feel good” factor.”

David said, “While most of my work is for Arturi making feature films it was great to go and make this fun TV programme with Twofour , and for it to get so much recognition. ”.
