Dream Start for Gloucester Business Start-Up as Guest VIP Turns Out to be David Cameron

A start-up Gloucestershire-based business had a dream start when it was commissioned to film a VIP charity event that included a speech by David Cameron. The first event project undertaken by The Online Video Company involved the anniversary of a charity that provides financial help to businesses who may have been turned down by banks.
Fredericks Foundation, a charity that provides funds for small businesses and start-ups, recently celebrated its 10thanniversary and launched a hub in Oxfordshire. In celebration, an event was held that several hundred business community VIPs attended.
The Online Video Company was commissioned to film the launch event and the speeches that took place, which now features on the Fredericks Foundation website. A VIP special guest was expected to attend the event in Oxfordshire, which the film crew were informed about beforehand, but were not told any names.
The crew were massively impressed to see however that it was in fact Prime Minister David Cameron who turned up at the event as the VIP special guest. The Online Video Company went on to film the entire event and had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister in person.
The Online Video Company was set up by Mark Davies, from Cheltenham, and has received investment from a Gloucestershire businessman who owns a PR agency.
Dr Mark Davies, founder of The Online Video Company, spoke about the company’s first job;
“Starts to a new business don’t get much better than this. We had been briefed that there would be a top secret VIP attending the event that we were filming but I never expected to be shooting the Prime Minister. We firmly believe that there is a gap in our industry for higher quality, more cinematic looking company films for websites and what a brilliant project to start with, featuring the Prime Minister.”
Andy Barr, Co MD of 10Yetis and investor in The Online Video Company, said;
“The way in which the media is changing and evolving means that 10Yetis is having more and more involvement in the video and broadcast industry and investing in The Online Video Company is a natural move. I am confident that we can take the disruptive and alternative nature of our approach to public relations into the world of online videos and business films and similarly become a well known and respected company in this sector as well.”
