The competition is a joint initiative by media, design and music clusters from across the region that boasts a joint membership of over 8,000 people. An exceptional line-up of industry were selected to judge the 2011 competition, including: Adam Powers from the BBC, Ravi Amaratunga from Channel 4, Michael Nutley from New Media Age and Ben Tomlinson from creative agency Poke.

The award evening follows the inaugural Media & Innovation Conference taking place at the National Marine Aquarium that day. The conference features an amazing line up of speakers including: Fraser Bradshaw, Managing Director of international agency McCann Erickson, and Chris Yapp, formerly the Head of Innovation at Microsoft.

Karen Stockdale, from the event organiser Plymouth Media-Partnership, said: “We’re delighted to have so many industry leaders on board. The conference promises to give a fascinating insight into the opportunities for media and design companies to exploit the changing marketplace, as well as giving practical advice on how to develop a culture of innovation within their businesses.”
