Corinium Radio Launch

Cirencester’s very own Corinium Radio takes to the airwaves Thursday 30 June to Sunday 3 July.
The station is the second of a series of projects set up to offer communities in Gloucestershire a chance to explore what a radio station created by local people truly sounds like. It is about celebrating and sharing what is truly local, giving people a voice, as the waves of new community radio stations sweep accross the UK.
Programmes range from film music to Space Rock, local bands, cookery and wine tasting, arts news and new writing, plus live coverage from the Cotswold Show. The five year old project – a finalist in the latest Cirencester Business Awards – includes people from all walks of life.
Today, Corinium Radio is a ‘not-for-profit’ group made up of members of the local community who volunteer their time to provide something that is about the community of Cirencester. Our aim is to offer a variety of programmes to suit a variety of tastes but all with a local feel. If you’d like to get involved click here to find ways of getting in contact the station.
You can find the station on 87.7FM and or visit www.coriniumradio.co.uk for further details and scheduling information.
