If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at Radio DJ-ing, journalism, audio-editing or scrub up on your interview techniques for broadcasting it’s likely that Stroud FM will have a course for you.

From the 27th of April right through to June, the radio station are putting a number of practical courses to help build up your broadcasting skills. The courses would act as a great way to broaden your knowledge if you’re student about to take on a media or broadcast degree at university. Alternatively, if you’re looking to change careers and want to know how to pick up the basic skills, with small class sizes you’ll receive some excellent training.

In their own words, “we provide training in all aspects of radio production – you can have the brief induction, which takes two hours, followed by a couple of half hour taster sessions on how to operate the equipment and put together a programme – and then you are launched on air. Or you could go on a six week, two hours a week introduction to radio production course, run by our experienced staff who have spent decades in the broadcasting industry.”

So if you’re interested in booking yourself a place, have a look at the website or contact Hannah on 01453 757492.
