South West Screen’s Audience Development Fund is open for applications until 27 May 2010. This year there’s just one deadline so if you’re intending to apply, you need to do so by the 27 May deadline.

Under the fund we want to ensure:

• audiences throughout the region have access to a wide and diverse range of cinema and moving image content
• a spread of opportunities to develop people’s understanding of and access to the region’s moving image heritage.

The fund is to support:

• film festivals based in the South West
• new platform, distribution and exhibition opportunities
• audience development projects
• projects which address rural issues
• heritage projects
• individual bursaries which clearly demonstrate career progression

We welcome applications from cinemas, arts centres, touring and mobile cinema schemes and moving image archives / collections as well as individuals for the Audience Development Fund. We’re particularly interested in supporting start up cinemas and exhibition events in the region.
