No Description Gloucester Guildhall is currently opening a tender process for a company to upgrade their lighting dimmers and you are invited to present a tender for this supply.

The successful company will be contracted to replace the current dimmers with new digital dimmers, testing the current circuits as they do this and also to upgrade the onstage power.

Full details of requirements, expectations of the dimmer replacement and power upgrade and how to apply can be requested by emailing sarah.gilbert@gloucester.gov.uk or alternatively call 01452 396 386

Sarah Gilbert is happy to answer any questions and arrange for a site visit if you require it, please note; Sarah is away from the 15th to 22nd March – visits can still be made but it may not be possible to answer specific questions in her absence. To arrange a visit, please contact Sarah by emailing sarah.gilbert@gloucester.gov.uk or alternatively call 01452 396 386.

Whilst price is very important, The Guildhall believes a good relationship with their suppliers and the quality of the work provided is equally as important.

If you wish to provide a quote, documents must be received by midday Thursday 25th March 2010 with the hope the work will commence in May 2010.

Thank you for your interest in Gloucester Guildhall and I look forward to hearing from you.

Project Outline:
Gloucester Guildhall is looking to enhance its technical provision by upgrading its existing dimmer system and improving the power supply to the stage area. These improvements will ensure Gloucester Guildhall continues to be a venue that is of high regard within the live music and entertainment industry.

The systems installed must be robust, with a long lifespan. This project is a one-off and it is likely that the system will not be added to or replaced for many years to come (note: the existing system has been in situ since the venue opened in 1989).

The specification is broken into two sections; Dimmer Replacement and Onstage Power Upgrade. Within this breakdown, there will be a series of Fundamental and Optional requirements for each.

The Guildhall Gloucester Guildhall is part of the Regeneration Directorate within Gloucester City Council. It has been a lively venue since 1988 and has been entertaining and invigorating Gloucester ever since. Over 5 million people have passed through its doors to date; enjoying thousands of live shows, concerts, film screenings, conferences, exhibitions, comedy nights, cabaret, theatre and lots more.
