The scheme allows creative companies from across the South West to access up to £1000 of funding towards developing your skills as a Leader and to tackle the challenges of your creative business.
We’ve created 2 exciting strands of leadership and management activity, specifically for creative businesses.
Here’s what’s included
STRAND 1
1) Karren Brady comes to Bristol to give a key note talk on inspirational leadership and formally launches the scheme on 2 March 2010 in the afternoon
2) Across March, April and May we run three 1/2 day follow up sessions with a series of inspirational trainers. These will be small groups of 10 people from similar companies and backgrounds and based specifically on managing change, leadership and employee engagement.
STRAND 2
VISION: A major 2 day creative conference, in Bristol – 15 – 16 September 2010.
We are inviting some of the UK’s biggest creative, design, advertising, TV and media gurus to come to Bristol and give a whole series of workshops, seminars, talks, round tables & masterclasses on subjects such as pitching, presenting, client development, business growth, selling creative ideas, getting the best out of your team, retaining your culture and developing creative ideas as well as a load of sector specific events across the 2 days.
Further details of how to sign up will be released at the Karren Brady event.
As part of the funding you will be expected to attend the Karren Brady keynote on 2 March and the three ½ day sessions across March, April and May. (dates tbc)
Here’s how it works and what it will cost you to reserve your place at both of these major new events
1) Call our partners Business Link to see if you and your company are eligible, on 01275 370733 quoting Bristol Media (it’s a 2 minute call).
2) You’ll immediately be told whether you can access the £1000 grant.
3) You pay £500 in total as a business and they’ll add an extra £1000 funding to enable you to access both strands of activity. So in effect you’re getting £1500 worth of activity/training/development for just £500!
4) After your confirmation from Business Link, email vanessa@bristolmedia.co.uk to confirm your place on the scheme.
5) Further details will be sent to you via email soon after.
THAT’S IT!
This scheme is a one off initiative, specific to Bristol Media and we only have places for 100 companies. Places are going exceedlingly fast, so please don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
This funding is accessible for SMEs with five or more employees operating in the creative industry sector. Companies should not be more than 25% owned by another enterprise otherwise this could impact eligibility to take part in the programme.
We also have just 25 places available for companies of less than 5 employees which are allocated on a first come first served basis.
