No Description The second round of South West Screen’s 2010/11 Talent Development Fund is now open.

The deadline for applications is 14 January 2011. All awards are funded though the Lottery’s Regional Investment Fund For England on behalf of UK Film Council.
In this second round of funding, we have increased the maximum amount that can be awarded to £10,000.

Our priority is to build on the momentum of recent initiatives such as iFeatures by supporting the South West’s brightest writers, directors and producers to develop distinctive new work and to advance their filmmaking careers to a point where they can successfully attract recognition, commissions and funding from major independents, financiers and distributors.

We want to support locally-based producers who are ambitious to work with the best emerging writing talent, and we are looking for feature-length film projects of any genre including documentary. Applications must demonstrate projects with a genuinely cinematic vision, that are distinctive, that resonate, that want to capture people’s imagination and become talking points.

Accordingly, we are looking to support two strands of activity:

• Script Development for Feature Films
• Seed Development for Feature Films

Please note there is a separate application form for each strand of activity.

Please download and read the guidelines before applying. To access guidelines and application forms for both strands click here.
