BBC Pro Tools Masterclass
After the great success of the colour-grading Masterclass last year, we have decided to bring up the BBC boys again to share their experience of high-end post-production with us with a particular focus on sound.
This time, our old friend Phil Mead is bringing Martyn Harries with him who is an award winning dubbing mixer with the BBC. He joined the BBC in 1983 working across both radio and TV, creating soundtracks for some of the most famous Natural History programmes such as Wild China and Life in Cold Blood, factual programmes such as Flog it and Bargain Hunt and dramas such as Casualty and Skins.
Martyn will be showcasing some of his work and give us an insight into multi-layered soundscapes for TV and film. He will explore tracklaying, dubbing and foley. Pro tools being the preferred choice for professionals in the audio industries for recording and editing in music production, film scoring and film and television post production will be the main topic of discussion.
So if you would like to hear (and see) first hand what a pro-tools guru such as Martyn is able to do and how the BBC’s world re-nowed post production in sound is really done – be quick and book yourself a place as they are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
