Our very own Accelerator tenant Dave Aspinall is off to Austria to film a feature adaptation film of Macbeth. Dave will accompany Greg Browning, Managing Director of Silicon 19 who spotted his talent during The Knowledge training course.

Greg took some time out of his busy schedule to teach on this GMG trademark course earlier this year and was so impressed with Dave’s skills, that he offered him some filming work in Manchester to help promote the production Brief Encounters. Dave proved his high-speed, slow motion camera skills were so outstanding that it prompted Greg to offer him a job on the shoot of Macbeth at the end of this month.

Orginally, Dave was too busy to do The Knowledge training but then found the time to sign-up at short notice. “I’m glad I found the time to squeeze it in, as it was a fast track to finding out how the industry works in the South West and as a freelancer how to make the necessary connections”. And connection he certainly made….

Dave is a professional freelancer and had some hesitations as to whether the course would be appropriate to his skill levels: “I wasn’t sure if the course would be suitable for me at the level I work at, and where I am in my media career, but I was pleased to find it was really tailored for all levels, from graduates to industry professionals”.
